Calendar sync setup

SaunaScout can sync with most calendar and booking tools so your availability stays in sync across platforms. Find your calendar's iCal URL below and paste it into the "Sync your calendars" section on your listing's availability page.

Updates from external calendars appear in SaunaScout within one hour.

Acuity Scheduling

Acuity supports a one-way iCal sync that lets external calendars subscribe to all your Acuity appointments.

Steps

Log into Acuity at app.acuityscheduling.com.
Click "Sync with Other Calendars" in the main menu.
Click "1-way Calendar Sync" (or "Subscribe to Acuity").
Copy the link at the bottom of the page.
Paste it into SaunaScout.
TipAcuity's iCal feed includes all appointment types and all calendars on your account. If you offer non-sauna services through Acuity, those will also block your SaunaScout availability.

FareHarbor

FareHarbor supports iCal calendar subscriptions to your availabilities.

Steps

Log into your FareHarbor Dashboard.
Navigate to the Calendar or Bookings section.
Look for a "Subscribe" or "Add to calendar" option in the calendar settings.
Copy the iCal URL (it ends in .ics).
Paste it into SaunaScout.
TipFareHarbor's interface can change. If you have trouble finding the iCal option, check FareHarbor's official guide - it's kept up to date by their team.

Google Calendar

Sync events from any Google Calendar to SaunaScout. Works with personal calendars, work calendars, and shared calendars you have access to.

Steps

Open Google Calendar at calendar.google.com.
In the left sidebar under "My calendars," hover over the calendar you want to sync and click the three-dot menu that appears.
Click "Settings and sharing."
Scroll down to the "Integrate calendar" section.
Find "Secret address in iCal format" and click the copy button next to it.
Paste that URL into SaunaScout.
TipUse the Secret address (not the Public address) unless your calendar is intentionally public. Treat this URL like a password - anyone with it can see your events.

Apple Calendar

Apple Calendar publishes calendars through iCloud. The setup is on Mac or iCloud.com - you can't do this from the iPhone Calendar app alone.

Steps

Open the Calendar app on a Mac.
In the left sidebar, hover over the calendar you want to share and click the share icon (broadcast signal) that appears next to its name.
Check "Public Calendar."
Click the share icon again and choose to copy the link.
Paste that URL into SaunaScout.
TipApple's shared calendar URLs start with webcal:// - SaunaScout accepts these and converts them automatically. If you prefer, you can also manually change webcal:// to https://.

Don't see your platform?

Some popular booking tools - including Calendly, Square Appointments, and Peek Pro - don't currently offer direct iCal exports. To sync these with SaunaScout, use Google Calendar as a bridge:

Steps

In your booking tool, connect it to a Google Calendar (this is usually a setting in the booking tool itself).
Follow the Google Calendar instructions above to get that calendar's iCal URL, then paste it into SaunaScout.
NoteAny other booking tool that exports an .ics URL will also work - the steps above for Acuity and FareHarbor cover the most common patterns.
