We collect information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and profile details when you create an account. When making or receiving bookings, we collect payment information processed securely through our third-party payment processor. For pending booking requests, payment authorization details are retained until the request is approved (and the card charged), declined, expired, or withdrawn. We also collect location data you provide when searching for saunas or creating listings, and usage data such as pages visited and features used.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate the SaunaScout marketplace, process bookings and payments, send booking confirmations and service communications, improve the platform, and ensure the safety and security of our community.
Information Sharing
We share information between guests and hosts only as necessary to complete bookings (for example, sharing a guest's name with their host). We do not sell your personal information. Payment processing is handled by our third-party payment providers - please refer to their privacy policies for details on how payment data is handled.
Data Storage & Security
Your data is stored securely using Supabase infrastructure. We use industry-standard security practices to protect your information. We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as required by law.

SaunaScout uses cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the platform is used. We do not use cookies for advertising.
